"Tucked away off Positano's main street and literally nestled in the middle of Le Sirenuse, this Elite Villas Airbnb felt almost unreal when we arrived: the house manager Valerio marched us through the winding, crowded streets to a spacious yellow-and-blue tiled terrace with a view that took our breath away after climbing dozens of stairs. To the right the dome of Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta looked close enough to touch and to the left the black-sand beach and Tyrrhenian Sea opened up below; inside, plush white couches begged to be sunk into, the kitchen was lined with shelves of locally crafted ceramics and hand-painted espresso cups, and upstairs there are four bedrooms each with a private bathroom (one with a pull-out couch so the villa can fit up to 10 guests), including a room with a private balcony we claimed as newlyweds and two rooms that share an adjoining terrace. The concierge service was one of the best parts — they coordinated transportation to and from Naples, arranged a courier to bring our bags (a must with all the stairs), shifted our boat excursion when rain was forecast, hired a chef for a private cooking class on the terrace, booked a private car tour for us, and even reserved a table at Music on the Rocks — and the whole stay (listed from $1,707 on Airbnb) ended with us laughing on those plush couches and asking, over and over, when we were going back." - Katie Henwood
