"Planned for 8383 Westheimer Road in a space that once housed Fadi’s Mediterranean Grill, Kumar’s already operates locations in Plano and Austin and serves curries, biryani, and Southern Indian breads like mutta dosai and kothu parotta; at weekend lunch it’s known for an unlimited buffet of dishes served on banana leaves. A Houston location has been in the works since late 2017 but a post-Hurricane Harvey construction permit backlog appears to have delayed its arrival, and no opening timeline has been announced." - Amy McCarthy
