"A modern new French bakery has taken over the space of legendary bakery Moishe’s in the East Village and offers coffee, croissants, goat cheese sandwiches, and lots of fresh bread; early visitors are pleased that Le Fournil actually offers bread instead of just pastries, though prices are higher than Moishe’s, and its warm, wood-paneled look has been replaced by lots and lots of tiles. It’s one of several new bread bakeries to open across the city." - Serena Dai
