Mexican Restaurant and Bar Replacing Nati’s in Ocean Beach | Eater San Diego

"I learned Social Syndicate will be opening a cantina-style Mexican eatery called La Doña this fall in the 2,660-square-foot Bacon Street space (with an additional 1,468-square-foot patio); designed by Tecture, the restaurant will focus on seafood-based tacos made with fresh homemade tortillas and cocktails featuring mezcal and tequila. The ownership team includes Social Syndicate’s board, Ocean Beach operators Hoffman Leung and Mina Desiderio, and Matt and Judd Braun of Blue Water Seafood, and CEO Brendan Huffman said La Doña represents their expansion into Mexican cuisine and brings an outstanding menu to the neighborhood; others involved expect the concept, which pays homage to Nati’s, to be a home run." - Candice Woo
