Tropical Rooftop Bars Landing in Little Italy and Oceanside | Eater San Diego

"Taking over a prime India Street rooftop in Little Italy, Coco Maya by Miss B’s is being redesigned with an open-air, boho-chic Tulum vibe by GTC Design Studio; the central cocktail bar will sit beneath a 30' by 30' skylight, part of the roof is being removed to create a 900-square-foot deck, and the concept will draw on Caribbean influences with tequila drinks inspired by the Yucatan Peninsula (from Rob McShea) and a kitchen using a Josper charcoal oven to produce modern takes on Jamaican coal pot cooking. The upstairs restaurant is replacing Prepkitchen and is slated to open in October." - Candice Woo
