"Helmed by Chef Angela Hernandez and opening Tuesday, July 10 on the Statler Hotel’s ground floor, this new Chinese eatery pairs midcentury-modern, vintage-infused interiors with a menu that blends classic and contemporary dishes. The dining room is decked out in vintage prints, velvet- and tweed-upholstered banquettes and chairs, patterned wallpaper, luxe drapery, funky pendant lamps, two-tone Edison bulbs and a giant modern chandelier; a massive U-shaped grey-topped bar with comfortable black high-top chairs sits alongside three private dining rooms and a communal table that seats 28, billed as the largest of its kind in the city. A striking wall installation of demitasse tea cups on narrow vertical stands serves as the space’s focal point.
