"I was blown away by the namesake rotisserie chicken (my highest DMV score so far at 9.2) for its buttery, lemony flavors, and nearly everything else scored very high — truffle fries, curry-toasted fennel wings, pineapple lemonade, Brussels sprouts, and tinned fish — but the duck confit gumbo truly stood out: the greens alone were a 9 and combined with the roux, duck, and potatoes I gave it about a 9.6 because the flavors were incredibly balanced. I told the owners the food was “insane” and warned things might get crazy; co-owner Amanda Burton said reservations spiked and the week filled up quickly." - Emily Venezky
