"Archie’s Cafe, a six-year-old coffee house and gathering spot for artists, will close in August at 1228 W. Loyola Avenue, according to Block Club Chicago. Loyola University purchased the building and intends to raze it once all its current leases expire, the university’s vice president of capital planning told The Loyola Phoenix. In addition to Archie’s, the structure houses Roman Susan art space, Edge Art Gallery, and 35 apartments.
