"An elegantly appointed, Selfridges-based brasserie that arrives fully formed and exceeds expectations by marrying pretty, finicky presentation with solid technique. Classics and basics land well: a pungent, buttery ham-and-gruyere croque monsieur, hot crisp fries, and a well-balanced roquefort-and-endive salad. Among mains, black cod with charred broccoli and vibrant wasabi mayo stands out, while desserts such as the over-the-top ‘Fallen Fruit’ provide Heston-style theatricality to great effect. Softer and more floral than Caring’s original Ivy, it nonetheless proves a successful, slightly more accessible temple of largesse that convincingly belongs inside a department store." - George Reynolds
