"A downtown Charleston restaurant opening November 20 from longtime chef Nico Romo, this spot focuses on classic French cuisine with subtle Asian nods. The menu aims to revive the style that put the chef on the map in 2007 and features traditional dishes like cassoulet, bouillabaisse, pate en croute, and pommes frites alongside hybrid preparations such as an escargot rice dumpling with candied ginger and brown butter and scallops with coconut rice and ginger broccolini. The kitchen refines flavor profiles drawn from the chef’s earlier work but presents them more sophisticatedly; the chef is a native of Lyon and selected the former Josephine Wine Bar space for the location. Hours will be Monday–Thursday 4:00–10:00 p.m. and Friday–Sunday noon–10:00 p.m." - Erin Perkins
