"I'm reporting that The Salt Lick, the storied Driftwood barbecue spot that opened in 1967, is opening a new 9,000-square-foot Fredericksburg location with a patio in 2025 at the Sycamore development along Luckenbach Road near the Highway 290 Wine Trail. The planned menu will feature classic Salt Lick barbecue such as brisket, ribs, and sausage, and owner and pitmaster Scott Roberts has teased an additional, unspecified new concept that will join the barbecue restaurant and wine tasting room.
