"Debuting Wednesday, June 12 at 431 Boylston St. in Boston’s Back Bay, this shiny new Life Alive is the chain’s fifth location and replaces an Au Bon Pain; it was designed by Phenomena and built by Cornerstone and will resemble the fairly new Brookline outpost. With Ron Shaich’s involvement in recent expansions, the Back Bay outpost aims for accessibility and a welcoming, inclusive feel, and it will carry over all the classics from the menu while adding a seasonal summer salad made with watermelon, feta, and lime vinaigrette. The fully vegetarian menu includes grain and green bowls, soups made in-house daily (with vegan options), noodle bowls featuring house-made ramen noodles, an “incredible” juice and smoothie bar with a new line of smoothie bowls, and a “free-spirited cocktail bar” of non-alcoholic items such as iced teas and mango lassi; there will also be non-caffeinated lattes made with house-made coconut cream as well as CBD coffee and CBD matcha drinks." - Dana Hatic
