"An established South Korean bakery chain founded in 1988 is opening its first Houston location at 1400 Blalock Road in Spring Branch; the outpost is currently under construction and the company says it plans to open more locations in the area. The brand, which already operates worldwide including in Vietnam and Singapore, has announced a major North Texas expansion (reports suggest as many as 20 locations in the Dallas–Fort Worth area), indicating a potentially large footprint in Houston as well. Expect French-style pastries and baked goods — beautifully decorated cakes, macarons, flaky croissants, castella cake, and freshly baked breads — alongside sandwiches stuffed with crab salad or ham and cheese and a variety of smoothies, juices, lattes, and other coffee drinks to pair with pastries. No official opening date has been announced." - Amy McCarthy
