What started as a market in 1984 later added a kitchen in 1991, along with a modest sushi bar where guests could marvel at the sushi chefs’ expertise in assembling fresh cuts of fish. More recently, the spot added an expanded dining area where diners can stretch their legs a bit in a casual atmosphere that’s a step above the grocery store vibes from before.
