Closed Austin Chinese Restaurant New Fortune Is Going to Reopen | Eater Austin

"The Pflugerville barbecue restaurant is coping with its owner, John Brotherton, being hospitalized in a medically induced coma after a medical event in early January; a GoFundMe has been created to help cover his medical bills. The restaurant itself remains open for service, and an event was planned for Saturday, January 13 (11 a.m. to 4 p.m.) to encourage patrons to support the business.
