"Opening at the Crestview location on 7301 Burnet Road, this small-format ice cream shop focuses on Japanese-inspired flavors served in hand-dipped mochiko cones (made from sweet rice flour) as well as undipped cones and cups. Overseen by owner and chef Tatsu Aikawa, the menu highlights inventive combos such as the Sum Yum Yuzu (black pepper–yuzu–mascarpone ice cream with strawberry–black pepper meringues and shiso), the Shroom of Doom (caramel–chocolate–shiitake), the Miso PB&J (miso–peanut butter–jelly with miso croutons, plum jam, and candied peanuts), and the Barney Poo (ube with pickled blueberry gel and cream cheese sauce). Additional playful toppings include miso kouign-amanns and soy-sauced marshmallows.
