"A beloved French-Vietnamese restaurant in Pasadena that closed on July 1 after a five-year run, Abricott was opened by Jo and John Wee in early 2012 on South Lake and announced the closure via the eatery’s website. It prepared classic French cuisine with a Vietnamese influence, serving omelets, croque-monsieur, waffles and sizzling Vietnamese pretty eggs with toast in the early hours, then switching to a later menu with niçoise salads, yellow curries, pho, mussels, bánh mì and a Vietnamese-inspired burger. The couple also own two other Pasadena restaurants, and there was no explanation given for the closure." - Mona Holmes
