"I'm glad to see My Diner (455 E 1st St.) return to South Boston: the family-run spot operated by Ela and Ben Bashllari since they took it over in 2004 reopens on Thursday, February 15, kicking off at 6 a.m. and running until 2:30 p.m. It closed its original 98 A St. location in June 2016 when condos were built, opened a second location in Melrose in January 2017 (which will remain open), and after receiving approval last July is finally making its comeback on First Street. Situated in a new apartment building with entrances on either side, visitors can take an elevator or stairs to floor one or enter from East Second Street via a ramp; the diner will serve breakfast and lunch classics daily and prides itself on delicious home-style, cook-to-order meals made with the freshest ingredients at great prices.
