"Opening Monday, July 8, I see Dough Zone Dumpling House will open a new downtown restaurant at 9th and Pine, taking the place of the recently closed Sansei Seafood Restaurant and Sushi Bar. The company's Facebook announcement says it will be in “soft opening” mode, which often means a limited menu or reduced hours while staff train, so fans should not expect everything to be running at full speed right away. Each Dough Zone location serves largely the same specialties: xiao long bao (soup dumplings), crispy-yet-juicy pan-fried pork buns, various noodle dishes, rotating varieties of congee, appetizers like green onion pancakes, and a few desserts such as red bean bao. Dough Zone has captivated the city since its 2014 Eastside debut, made Eater's list of 38 Essential Seattle Restaurants, and this downtown spot will be among the chain's sixth and seventh outposts as the company also readies a Kirkland Urban location by year's end." - Megan Hill
