"An East Coast wine bar with French leanings and four Manhattan locations is opening on Olive Street between 8th and 9th, adjacent to a local craft-beer bar. It favors dim lighting, relatively inexpensive glasses of wine, marble countertops, and simple French fare ranging from charcuterie to caviar and tartes to macarons. The owner, Stefan Mailvaganam, has secured an ABC license and expects the new location to open by next spring; the menu will lean more into California wines alongside French selections and keep a broadly European food focus with added local flavors, intended to broaden downtown LA's wine scene." - Farley Elliott
