"A long-dormant restaurant space in South Park on Juniper Street has been revived as a new Indian eatery by Raj Mutti called Curryosity. I note that Mutti, who also operates an Indian spot called Spice Lounge in Pacific Beach, invested nearly $100,000 to update the kitchen and give the dining area and bar a full makeover. He’s trying to secure a beer-and-wine license and plans to pour India’s iconic Kingfisher lager alongside local brews and wines that pair well with Indian food. Currently open from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. daily with lunch service starting next month, the menu mixes classic bestsellers from Spice House—like tikka masala and chicken vindaloo—with Indian-fusion starters such as curry fries, naan stuffed with mozzarella, and curry mussels, and will offer customizable curries with proteins ranging from tofu to shrimp; Mutti also hopes to expand Curryosity to North Park and North County." - Candice Woo
