"One of Minneapolis’s most popular gay bars, it announced on June 19 that it has cut ties with Anheuser-Busch, citing the company’s response to the anti-trans backlash over its marketing campaign featuring Dylan Mulvaney. The Saloon said it will replace Anheuser-Busch beers — including Bud Light, Michelob Ultra, and Michelob Golden Light — with craft beers from Minneapolis-based brewers Bauhaus Brew Labs and Modist, both described as “local companies that actively support and grow the LGBTQIA+ community.” Owner John Moore called Anheuser-Busch’s retreat unacceptable, saying the company “had an opportunity to support a marginalized community in a way that few other corporations have attempted, but they abandoned that direction.” The announcement came just before the Twin Cities Pride festival." - Justine Jones
