"Jerry Benedetto began hawking square-cut tavern-style pies via Instagram, creating a sensation among Midwestern expats and pizza aficionados. Starting May 17, Jerry’s Pizza will operate out of the Bear Paw Inn in Southeast Portland. The pies feature a well-done, crispy but also chewy crust, with a touch of Grandma Pat’s tomato sauce as a base, topped with cheese and various toppings like house fennel sausage, mushrooms, and pepperoni.
