LA Punk Band Destroys Orange County Denny’s With Impromptu Mosh Pit | Eater LA

"At the Denny’s at 2530 S. Bristol Street in Santa Ana, I watched videos and photos showing Long Beach punk band WACKO throwing a hardcore show inside the restaurant over the weekend. The place was packed — a full house with a mosh pit, people standing on tables to film the set, and a 20-minute clip capturing the entire performance and the punks beforehand hanging out inside and getting a meal. Attendees said the show had been planned in advance and approved by staff, though at least one viral tweet claimed “the manager had no idea what she was getting into,” and Denny’s has since said the manager was unaware a concert was planned, reiterated that it’s a family-friendly restaurant (with banquet space at some locations) and asked organizers to pay for damages. Damage to the restaurant was reportedly north of $1,000, and some people are even using Venmo to pay the band for the stunt." - Farley Elliott
