"A new bakery pop-up led by baker Katherine Sprung, founder of desserts company Squish Marshmallows, is hosting a semla-focused event this weekend at the Greenpoint restaurant Caffe Panna on Saturday, March 1 from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Semla are described as deep-fried Swedish buns filled with almond paste and topped with whipped cream meant to be eaten on Scandinavian Fat Tuesday.
