"There’s nothing on the West Coast quite like Decibil’s sound setup. The bar helpfully provides a hard copy of the specifications that read like NASA schematics, but to see the wall-spanning monolith of electronics is to understand there’s a lot going on under the hood. The heart of the system is a high-end Scout VPI turntable connected to a forest of glowing vacuum tubes and flanked by titanic movie theater loudspeakers from the 1940s. None of this overwhelms the senses, though: The bar section is charming, with a walnut-and-teal 1970s sky lounge aesthetic that leans more toward the last season of Mad Men than the first. Milwaukie seems to have embraced the theme, as any given happy hour will find suburban soccer moms and fashionistas rubbing elbows over colorful tiki drinks." - Ben Coleman
