"Opening August 14 inside the Cinerama Dome complex, this Los Angeles expansion of New York’s legendary Blue Note Jazz Club brings serious pedigree and polish. Founded by Danny Bensusan in 1981 and now spanning Tokyo, Milan, Napa, Waikiki, Beijing, and more, the venue has hosted icons like Ray Charles, Lionel Hampton, and Sarah Vaughn; night one here featured Nat Adderley with a quartet. Two performance rooms—an “A” room for headliners and a “B” room for smaller artists and jams—set the stage for a menu by chef Asaf Maoz of Carmel and Jazz Age–inspired cocktails, with dinner throughout the week, weekend brunch, and first-come, first-served seating that rewards early arrivals." - Mona Holmes
