The Pizza Press open at Fashion Show mall - Eater Vegas
"Fashion Show mall lands a new pizza restaurant dedicated to the build-your-own model with a roster of craft beers. The Pizza Press finds inspirations from the 1920s Americana newspaper culture. The California franchise takes over the vacant round Wicked Slice pizza space that closed in January 2017 after less than three months in business. The standalone building sits directly in front of the northern entrance of the mall’s outdoor promenade and includes the option of patio seating facing the Strip and Wynn Las Vegas across the street. The decor and menu showcase vintage newspapers, with flat cap wearing newsies guiding diners through selecting their own pizzas, or choosing one of the in-house creations, such as The Times with and olive oil base, mozzarella, chicken, cherry tomatoes, red onions, Gouda, and parmesan and finished with a barbecue sauce; The Tribune with red sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, Italian sausage, red onions, mushrooms, roasted peppers, Kalamata olives, ricotta, and parmesan; and The Chronicle with mozzarella, artichoke hearts, cherry tomatoes, red onions, mushroom, Chevre, roasted peppers, parmesan, and finished with a pesto sauce. All are ready within four minutes. The space comes decorated with typewriters and print blocks, while the pies come out on newsprint decorated liners. The brand also offers ice cream sandwiches, floats, and a tiramisu dessert, plus two dozen local and national craft beers on tap." - Susan Stapleton
