"The famous chicken-and-rice chain opens today in Uptown Oakland, in the former location of Locol (and Plum before it) at 2214 Broadway, bringing spicy AF red sauce to all the land. The grand opening events include some giveaways: Starting at 11 a.m. the first 50 customers get a free platter of gyro, falafel, chicken, and the sauces. The main draw, however, is the chain’s late night hours: it’s open til midnight Sunday through Thursday, and til 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday." - Ellen Fort
