"A sudden Brooklyn switcheroo turns the short-lived Japanese listening bar and omakase Here & There into a seafood restaurant opening Wednesday, October 22, in Williamsburg. The whole menu is full of seafood, with prawn nuggets with creme fraiche and caviar; a take on the Filet-O-Fish with skate, Comté cheese, and kimchi; lobster pot pies; and raw oysters. Drinks skew bright and crisp, with minerally wines, citrus cocktails, and highballs like the Big Apple Fizz made with sunchoke-infused tequila reposado, honeycrisp apples, tamarind, and soda. Co-founder Samantha Nie says the team changed the concept because “we wanted to give our guests a more approachable menu that reflected New York City,” and Here & There’s high-end audio system remains in place. Executive chef Mark Nobello leads the kitchen, drawing on time at Danji and O Ya and a stint as chef de cuisine at Atoboy, while beverage manager Omar Bautista brings experience from Crown Shy, Torrisi, and Major Food Group’s ZZ Club." - Nadia Chaudhury
