"James Beard Award-winning chef Michael Anthony, of Gramercy Tavern fame, will help christen the new dining room at venerable white tablecloth restaurant Charleston Grill, as it reopens this month. The event includes a reception and a five-course meal prepared by Anthony. The Open Hands Community Kitchen also serves as a bit of an unofficial kick-off to the unveiling of a new menu, new chef, and new renovations in the dining room at Charleston Grill. The restaurant’s longtime chef Michelle Weaver will now be the culinary ambassador for the Charleston Place, while sous chef Suzy Castelloe will step into the role as chef de cuisine. The food will remain “elevated Lowcountry cuisine,” with selections like pork shank ragout with cavatelli or snapper in a tomato broth. Charleston Grill is now open Wednesday through Sunday, from 5:30 pm. to 9:30 p.m. Tickets for Anthony’s visit are $500 and available online." - Erin Perkins
