"I note that Chef David Lawrence of 1300 on Fillmore is collaborating with Chef Mark Dommen of One Market Restaurant on a Black History Month prix-fixe (available Feb. 1–28): a $49 menu (with certain dishes also offered à la carte) featuring Lawrence’s salt-roasted beets and maple-braised beef short ribs alongside Dommen’s Cajun-style boudin and blood orange cornmeal cake, with 10 percent of prix-fixe proceeds going to the Museum of the African Diaspora and a selection of 13 wines by African American winemakers." - Janelle Bitker
