"I'm told Sid Gold’s Request Room is opening a third location in East Nashville at 3245 Gallatin Pike (next door to El Fuego), slated for early April. Founded in 2015 by Paul Devitt with partner Joe McGinty and with a Detroit outpost that opened in 2019, the Nashville spot will follow the same format: a cocktail bar in front and a piano lounge in the back. The menu hasn't been finalized but a limited kitchen is expected; piano-backed karaoke will happen nightly with other live entertainment scheduled in the evenings before karaoke, and weekly burlesque performances will also occur. The venue is known for its eclectic, request-driven karaoke—customers can request anything from pop to punk to soul to classic rock—accompanied by a live pianist, and the bar is named after one of an investor's fathers." - Delia Jo Ramsey
