La Frontera 1 is open until 12:45 a.m. Sunday to Tuesday and 1:45 a.m. the rest of the week. In a city flush with great Mexican food, La Frontera’s al pastor taco holds its own. They serve staple mariscos dishes until close (a rarity), and their $2-4 agua frescas (jamaica, horchata, lemonade) are extremely generous.
