"This vibrant cafe is among the palm trees and bungalows in, yes, Phoenix’s Coronado neighborhood, and sells plant-based treats. A roster of baked goods like rose cookie sandwiches and mesquite snickerdoodles pack the pastry case, and are the warm-up to bigger plates like short stack buttermilk pancakes (made with vegan butter) dripping with maple syrup. We obsess over the savory fried potato tacos and almost always grab a lavender chocolate chip cookie on our way out." - lauren topor

"Housed in the former Tuck Shop space in the heart of the historic Coronado neighborhood, this comfy vegan restaurant offers locally brewed beer and coffee, garden-to-glass cocktails, and dishes with Mexican and Southwestern influences. Consider masa-battered and fried cauliflower tacos, black coffee chili and cornbread, or a beet and quinoa burger topped with poblano corn relish and crispy fried onions." - Nikki Buchanan, Chris Malloy

A vegan gem tucked into the historic Coronado neighborhood is an all around winner. Warm, friendly atmosphere with lots live plants indoors and cool mist sprayers outdoors. The menu is filled with innovative and really tasty dishes. Our server was very knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. It was also a very good value with generous portions. We’ll definitely be back.

The food is absolutely incredible. Every single thing on their menu is exquisite. We have tried almost every single thing on the menu and just about every cocktail. They are absolutely incredible every time. The service is wonderful, everyone is always kind, respectful and aware of your needs. Hands down a must every time we're in the area. 10/10

Wow is all I can say - the food was delicious and the conversations and service were top notch ! This was my first visit to The Coronado, which I visited thanks to a friend’s recommendation. I was blown away. I was seated and my server, whom I later realized was the owner Juan, was sooo welcoming and made polite conversation. He shared many visitors were from out of town and that made me feel even more like I made the right choice. After I was seated the place filled up even quicker - so get there early or make reservations. Everything is made from scratch, in house, and made to order. I visited on a Sunday to grab brunch and ordered the Blackberry Lemon pancakes, 1 biscuit With gravy, and a bloody Maria - hello Mezcal. Everything was DELICIOUS. Pancakes were moist and flavorful. Biscuit was fluffy and the mushroom gravy was everything. And what’s not to love about a breakfast bloody Maria? If you’re in the area, vegan or not, this place has the vibes, the kindness, and the amazing food that will leave you wanting more even when you’re full!

First visit to this Vegetarian forward restaurant. We will definitely go back. Everything we had one perfectly cooked and tasted great. We had the fried avocado, cauliflower tacos and beet and quinoa burger. All excellent! We did not have room for dessert however…next time! They have a full bar ample inside seating and front patio. It’s a cute building and the servers were friendly. It did start to get busy after 5pm so I would make a reservation if you do t want to wait around. Seating at the bar is limited.

Excellent vegan spot! My brother and I were deciding on an all-vegan place to try (we are visiting from Metro Detroit), and we picked The Coronado. I’m glad we did! Food, drinks, and service were all fantastic. I liked the elevated but not over the top Mexican inspired food, and it was definitely different than other Mexican places. It isn’t just tacos, etc. the drinks were delicious and paired nicely. Highly recommend the flautas and chimichanga, I can’t decide which was better tbh. We also had the peanut butter chocolate cake and wow, it was so good! I don’t even like banana but it’s worth trying. It’s a very cute restaurant and it’s in an unsuspecting part of town. They also have brunch which looks super good. I am definitely coming back here when I have a chance. I would even take non-vegans here, I feel like there is something for everyone.

Finally tried this spot out I got the asada tacos I have to say that my food wasn’t that great , there was nothing that said it was going to have cilantro in it and holy cow did they put aloooot in they mixed it in with the mushrooms so I couldn’t pick it out it was really overwhelming with it I couldn’t enjoy my food honestly , if I’d known I’d ask to have it removed but they don’t list it being in the tacos on the menu idk why but I can’t really judge my tacos as I could only taste cilantro the whole time ruined my food, and the salsa here suuuuuper spicy couldn’t even eat it . Next time I’d try something else and it might make my review higher but that taco plate was a no go for me everyone was nice and served us fast atleast cute spot

Not often that you can go to a restaurant with a nearly complete vegetarian and vegan menu with original dishes made in-house. We were there for lunch. Serving size was large with nice side dishes. Our party had the vegetarian burger(house made), tacos, and chimichanga, as well as Cesar salads. They serve a small selection of craft beers in cans as well as sparkling water. Since menus are online and you go to the bar to order/pay for your food, service is limited to food delivery to the table Somewhat noisy atmosphere, although it quiets down after 1pm so table conversation was possible. Overall, an enjoyable experience worth going again!
