"Sukoshi, the Charlotte-based sushi and poke restaurant from Indigo Road restaurant group (O-Ku, Donetto, Tiny Lou’s) opening this summer at Colony Square, includes a 30-minute, five-course omakase for $30 at its tiny sushi bar. The 2,000-square-foot, counter-service restaurant specifically caters to those interested in a quick meal during lunch or to-go ordering — aka midtown’s weekday workforce and weekend visitors. Dim sum like dumplings, buns, specialty rolls, sashimi, and nigiri as well as a cooler filled with pre-made foods like edamame and salads are offered on the menu for lunch and dinner. Everything can be ordered via the restaurant’s mobile app for pick-up and delivery. There’s also sake, canned wine, beer, and Japanese sodas like Calipico and Ramune available to drink. Sukoshi, designed by Powell Architects, seats up to 30 people at communal tables and banquettes along the back wall and five people at its chefs counter for the omakase. “Sukoshi is meant to be fun, whether you’re enjoying product at your desk, on your couch or at the restaurant,” Indigo Road partner Steve Palmer says in the press release. “The quality of food matches what you enjoy as part of an elevated sushi experience – with the attitude and efficiency of a fast-casual, health-minded destination.” Palmer, who also owns Oak Steakhouse and Colletta in Alpharetta, plans to host a series of pop-ups around Atlanta prior to opening, including at Colony Square and the upcoming Atlanta Food and Wine Festival." - Beth McKibben
