"I learned that Sahlen Packing Company Inc., based in Buffalo, discovered late last week that more than 13,000 pounds of ready-to-eat whole hams used for slicing at delis were contaminated with extraneous materials — including pieces of plastic. The recalled hams, which carry labels such as “MARKET 32 BY PRICE CHOPPER BLACK FOREST HAM” and “EST. 5155,” were shipped to stores and delis across New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont. So far no adverse reactions have been reported, but the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service is urging anyone who purchased the meats to throw them away or return them to the store." - Carla Vianna
