"A decades-old lunch counter on Michigan Avenue that was recently purchased by former Detroit police officer Kimberly Lambert and her husband, John. The outgoing owners, Mike Muftari and his wife, Yvet, will wrap up their final shifts on November 27. The Lamberts plan to keep things as they are, aside from eventually accepting credit card payments. Originally the location for Lile’s Ham Sandwich Shop, opened in 1965, it was taken over by Mike Muftari who renamed it after himself.
