"I've learned that before it even debuts at the Venetian’s Grand Canal Shoppes, Midtown Manhattan’s Zeppola Italian Bakery already has plans for a second Las Vegas expansion. Currently under construction on the resort’s replica of St. Mark’s Square—replacing the former Paris Baguette—the two-level bakery, designed by local firm GT/AD Studio, will be upgraded with a small bar on the main floor and a casual dining space upstairs. Created by the East Coast’s Numero 28 restaurant group, the cafe plans to offer many takeout and dine-in items from the original New York menu, including Italian sandwiches and pasta dishes, fruit tarts, cakes, cookies, bombalone, cannoli, zeppole pastries, and La Colomba sweet artisanal bread. Early paperwork also confirms a second Zeppola cafe is headed to the Fashion Show mall, with a submitted construction budget of $150,000 similar to estimates for the Venetian remodel." - Bradley Martin
