"Sitting at the corner of Fifth Avenue and J Street in the Gaslamp, the 15,000-square-foot Grand Pacific Hotel was built in 1887 and is owned by HP Investors. I understand the building will be redeveloped in partnership with the local hospitality team behind RMD Group into a multi-level, multi-concept restaurant and bar slated to open in mid-2019; RMD Group partner Michael Georgopoulos says their goal is to create a “true entertainment hub where food, wine, beer, cocktails and music come together in a variety of unique spaces and experiences perfect for everyday dining, drinking and special large-scale meetings and events.” HP Investors’ managing partner Sumeet Parekh praised RMD Group’s thoughtful redevelopment that keeps the integrity of the building while offering a modern concept, and Urban Strategies Group represented both landlord and tenant in the transaction." - Candice Woo
