"Uchiko — which translates to “child of Uchi” — is Austin-based chef Tyson Cole’s newest concept in Miami. With Uchi’s successful Wynwood location, Cole decided it was time to conquer South Beach. Located in Sunset Harbour, the menu focuses largely on the use of the yakitori grill that’s used for the “from the hearth” section of the menu with a selection of hot and cold dishes that are both smoked and cured — including a hearth-roasted lobster with umeboshi butter, seared NY strip wagyu with charred snow pea leaves, and Japanese sweet potato with brown butter, nori vinaigrette and crème fraîche.
