"I noticed Sublime Doughnuts in Atlanta is adding a new sweet: a doughnut ice cream cone called the “CoNut” (pronounced “cone-nut”), available with or without ice cream. Owner and baker Kamal Grant says he tinkered with recipes for several weeks to land on a sugar-coated, soft spiral based on a cream cone pastry; he shapes the doughnut into a spiral and submerges it in hot oil rather than flipping it like a standard fried doughnut, then coats the cone with a hard chocolate shell to prevent leaking before finally rolling it in sugar.
