Georgetown’s New Soft Serve and Doughnut Shop Is Mostly Open - Eater Seattle
"Darren McGill and Kryse Martin-McGill, the duo behind Nate’s Wings and Waffles, Happy Grillmore, and Central District Ice Cream Company, have opened their doughnut and soft serve shop called Seattle Freeze in Georgetown — mostly. The shop is hosting limited hours as a so-called 'soft open' run, with plans to fully open in July. Seattle Freeze’s doughnuts come in flavors like cereal milk, maple chicharron, matcha pistachio, and Mexican dark chocolate, with glazed and custard-filled options. And the ice cream is soft serve, with flavors that skew traditional (vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry) and inventive, like the rotating options fans have come to enjoy at the McGills’ Central District Ice Cream Company: black sesame, ube, and matcha.
