"While the erstwhile Arirang space has switched chefs, the food remains as good as ever. Order at the counter from a numbered menu hung on the wall, succinct but with all the classics: haemul pajeon, a seafood pancake with crisp, lacy edges; rich, savory jjajangmyeon, the pork cut with slivers of cucumber, shredded green onion, and a crescent of hard-boiled egg; and spicy pork bulgogi, which, from its regular appearance on tables during the lunch rush, is the menu’s must-order. Of note: the restaurant closes for a few weeks every season, and posted hours can be unreliable, so make sure to call before visiting." - Julie Yu
