"Reservations-only, 1920s-themed ten-seat whiskey lounge tucked inside the hotel's Stephen F.'s Bar & Restaurant, with a menu curated by bar expert Justin Elliott (who opened downtown bar the Townsend). It offers a global selection of whiskeys and classic cocktails like Manhattans and Sazeracs—many prepared tableside—paired with bar snacks such as deviled eggs, garlic-charred olives, and shrimp-and-chorizo arancini. Period-appropriate decor includes vintage crystal sconces, ornate glassware, Limoges serving dishes, and a private terrace overlooking Congress Avenue; the speakeasy theme nods to the InterContinental's 1924 Prohibition-era origins. The lounge debuted on Friday, October 26 and is open Mon–Fri 3 p.m.–midnight, Sat noon–2 a.m., and Sun noon–11 p.m.; reservations (call (512) 721-4230) are required, with two cocktail-hour seatings at 5:30 and 8:30, a $100 minimum for up to 10 people, and an $800 minimum to rent the space as a private event." - Erin Russell
