"Three years in the making through California wildfires, drought, and a global pandemic, Hangar 76 opens to the public April 1 with a weekend celebration featuring live music, food trucks, raffles, and more. The 17,500-square-foot Oceanside warehouse was purchased and developed by Carruth Cellars and transformed into a multi-use venue that will serve as the winery’s new production hub and fourth tasting room while also housing the first brewing facility and taproom for Tipping Pint Brewing Co.; the project was enabled by a 2020 state law allowing wineries, breweries, and distilleries to hold overlapping licenses. The site includes a shared 3,000-square-foot wine and beer garden available for weddings and events, a commercial kitchen that will serve cheese and charcuterie boards and wood-fired pizzas and support farmers market vendors and food trucks, and one remaining space that could become a distillery, with the possibility of a more full-fledged restaurant down the line." - Candice Woo
