"A longtime Capitol Hill tapas favorite, Tango Restaurant and Lounge was known for its paellas, intimate atmosphere, and a killer spicy dessert called El Diablo (a cake made with chocolate and cayenne pepper). After 19 years the restaurant announced its closure, posting “Well, Seattle … I’m afraid we’ve had our last dance” on Facebook; owner Travis Rosenthal said sales were starting to go down while costs continued to rise, and he noted that all Tango staff were offered jobs at the group’s sister restaurants. Located on the corner of Boren Avenue and Pike Street, it provided a reliable date spot with a strong happy hour and was described by The Stranger as “posh, but comfortable” with a “cute and varied crowd,” while Seattle Met gushed over El Diablo and the “intelligent food, crisply executed.”" - Gabe Guarente
