"Li-Lac opened on Christopher Street in 1923, and is one of New York City’s oldest chocolate houses. The original branch is now long closed, but there are multiple branches. The place specializes in molded chocolates commemorating holidays, this being Halloween, there will be chocolate witches, pumpkins, ghosts — you get the picture. Specialties like sea-salt caramels, chocolate-covered pretzels, and some amazing caramel pecan bars are always available." - Robert Sietsema
