"Established in 1987 by the late Billy Lee and now continued by his children, Deborah and Joseph, the city’s oldest-operating Irish pub has a reputation for getting rowdy, with wedding parties filing in after receptions at the Perry Lane Hotel next door. The bar stays open until 3 a.m. Monday through Saturday and until 2 a.m. on Sunday, with karaoke every night starting at 9 p.m. During the day, however, the pace slows and regulars of all ages gather at the bar for card games or rugby matches on TV — allowing the bartenders the time required to pour a proper pint. Guinness draft pairs well with their piping-hot fried pickles; the salt and vinegar flavors complement the stout’s malty sweetness." - Colleen McNally
