"At 1700 Platte Street inside the new Riverview corporate tower, I note Maria Empanada’s fourth Denver location is a 1,950-square-foot, ground-floor, fast-casual outpost of the Denver-grown Argentinian business serving baked pockets filled with sweet and savory ingredients. The Platte Street kitchen highlights include a chicken chimichurri empanada and a hand-folded dessert, strawberries a la crema, both recently featured on Guy Fieri’s Triple D Nation; the shop also offers a full espresso bar, a wine list, and beer on tap. The space was finished by Cadence Design Studio and uses antique stained glass intended to evoke the high-end styling of Buenos Aires cafés. I also note the brand received a $3.5 million investment from the Colorado Impact Fund to support expansion and is now open 7:30 a.m.–8:30 p.m. Monday–Wednesday, until 10 p.m. Thursday–Saturday, and 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Sundays." - Gigi Sukin
